Tarun Goyal’s path into aromatherapy was not shaped by convention, but by a quiet inner calling. In 2002, he began exploring the relationship between plants, energy, and human consciousness, guided by a desire to understand healing in its most natural and authentic form.

Rooted in Siddha Yoga and Siddha Medicine, his journey unfolded through years of study, practice, and direct experience. In the serene forests of the Palani Hills in Tamil Nadu, India, surrounded by ancient trees and aromatic plant life, he immersed himself in meditation and traditional healing practices.

It was in this environment that a deeper realization emerged. As he spent time in stillness, he began to notice how the
natural aromas of the forest influenced his state of mind. The scent of leaves, resins, and earth did not merely surround him. It deepened his meditation, sharpened his focus, and brought a sense of clarity and presence. This direct experience revealed the profound connection between aroma and consciousness.

As his understanding grew, so did his search for deeper knowledge. He travelled across India and beyond, visiting distilleries, learning from master practitioners, and engaging with traditional systems of plant medicine. Through this exploration, essential oils revealed themselves to him as more than fragrant extracts. They became living expressions of the
plant world, capable of supporting transformation across physical, emotional, and subtle dimensions.

In 2008, this vision took form through the founding of Kundalini Aroma, created as a way to share pure plant medicines and the wisdom of aromatherapy with the world.

This vision found its deeper roots in the hills of Kodaikanal, where Tarun established his own organic farm. Here, plants are cultivated with care, grown in harmony with the land, and distilled using traditional methods that preserve their full therapeutic integrity. Each step, from cultivation to extraction, reflects a commitment to purity, authenticity, and a direct connection to the source.

Drawing from his deep practice of Ashtanga Yoga and Siddha Tantra, Tarun developed a unique approach to working with essential oils in relation to the seven chakras. His formulations are created with intention, designed not only to support the body, but also to enhance awareness and inner balance.
