How to Create Your Own Radiant Facial Oil

At Kundalini Aroma, we believe that skincare is a form of self-care, and creating your own facial oil is a beautiful way to deepen your relationship with plant medicine.

This recipe follows a 1% essential oil dilution, a safe and effective ratio for daily facial use. For every 2 tablespoons of carrier oil, you will use 6–9 drops of essential oil, allowing the therapeutic benefits of the plants to work gently and harmoniously with the skin.

Carrier Oils

Carrier oils are the nourishing base of your facial oil. They deliver vitamins, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants that soften and rejuvenate the skin. For this recipe, you will use:

  • 1 tablespoon Jojoba Oil— lightweight, balancing, and suitable for all skin types
  • 1 tablespoon Hempseed Oil (or any specialty carrier oil)— rich in omega fatty acids and deeply restorative

You can also experiment with other specialty oils like avocado, rosehip, apricot kernel, or blends designed for radiance.

Essential Oils (6–9 drops total)

These potent extracts bring aromatic, emotional, and therapeutic benefits.
For a balanced, radiant blend:

  • 2 drops Frankincense Essential Oil– rejuvenating and grounding
  • 2 drops Lavender Essential Oil– calming and soothing to both skin and senses
  • 2 drops Geranium Essential Oil– balancing and supportive for overall skin vitality

How to Make Your Radiant Facial Oil

  1. Add one tablespoon of jojoba oilinto a clean glass bottle.
  2. Add one tablespoon of hempseed or specialty carrier oil.
  3. Add 6–9 drops of essential oils(following the blend above or one of your own creation).
  4. Close the bottle and roll or shake gently to harmonize the blend.

Your facial oil is ready — a simple creation carrying the intelligence and vitality of plants.

How to Apply Your Facial Oil

Use your facial oil in the morning, evening, or whenever your skin needs nourishment.

  1. Start with clean skin.
  2. Dispense 1–2 drops(about a pea-sized amount) into your palm.
  3. Dab onto the forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin to distribute evenly.
  4. Gently massage using upward strokes, allowing the oils to absorb naturally.
  5. Extend the ritual down to your neck and décolletage for deeper hydration and a moment of aromatherapy.

How to Incorporate a Facial Oil into Your Skincare Routine

There is no single “right” way — choose what feels intuitive and works for your skin’s needs.

  • Before moisturizer / mixed with serum:
    Blend a drop with your serum to enhance absorption and deliver an extra boost of nutrients.
  • After serum:
    Apply the oil on top of your serum to seal in hydration and lock in the serum's benefits.
  • Morning & evening:
    Use regularly to maintain softness, balance, and radiance.
  • Spot application:
    Apply to areas needing extra attention — dry patches, dull areas, or skin that needs soothing.
